The Perch is the student activities committee on campus that helps plan campus wide events. Whether it’s Plazapalooza or crafts, throughout the year there is something for everyone. With a logo designed of a bird on a branch, the idea of finding your perch aligns with the Office of Student Engagement’s tagline: “Find your people. Find your purpose.” It encourages students, just like a cardinal, to find their place within campus where they feel comfortable and as though they belong. The Perch works closely with the Director of Residential Experience and Student Engagement on each event they plan. The close relationship of The Perch and Office of Student Engagement would ensure that campus wide events are student centered, intentional in community building, and aligned with the LaSallian Catholic beliefs.
